I have been a visiting lecturer at the University of Cambridge, teaching medieval pottery technology, and have been the pottery consultant and analyst for a number of Anglo-Saxon and medieval research excavations carried out by academic institutions such as those at Berkeley in Gloucestershire (U of Bristol), South Carlton, Lincs (U of Sheffield), Crowland Abbey, Lincs (U of Newcastle), and Cookham, Berks (U of Reading).
